In fashion, timing is everything. Are you launching your hat wear line for the Christmas season? For

the back-to-school season? For the 4th of July? Most overseas production takes 72 to up to 90 days via

ocean freight. Say you are producing your hats in China. Do you know that the Chinese shut down for up

to 15 days during Chinese New Year, which occurs on different dates, although mostly in January and

February, depending on the year?

2. custom apparel using Screen Printing

Screen printing does not require that the equipment be put under pressure, so it is very useful for printing on a variety of items. Screen printing is commonly used to print on hats, bags, cups and ink pens. A screen printers t shirt quality is superior to other ink printing methods. It is highly preferred when used for a custom logo that needs to appear sharp and detailed.

3. Quality Embrodery for embroidered apparel

Quality is something that should not be sacrificed with embroidery, because you do not want your logo to

make a bad impression. Blurry, blocked or unraveling embroidery can give the wrong impression of your

Business owners and managers sometimes miss golden opportunities to reinforce their brand and the image

of professionalism for employees in the public eye. One such opportunity is the use of workplace

apparel and promotional

clothing, such as Port Authority shirts. Here are answers to five common questions about Port Authority

shirts and corporate golf shirts.

2. custom apparel Design for Team Members

Some teams want to design their own costume with

their team name, mascot and numbers on the jersey. Many sporting goods stores carry jerseys and uniforms

but are useless when you want to design your own logo. With a custom

uniforms store you can do just that. They will take

your design and transfer it onto the jersey of your choice along with numbers, names and any other

information you so choose.

3. corporate logo clothing Gifts

A gift for the coach is pretty customary to give at the end of the season. In many cases, the coach has

volunteered his or her time to the team. Giving the coach a custom t-shirt or sweatshirt designed by the

team members is one way to show that the team cares, appreciates the hard work the coach endured and

also is a gift that the coach will wear with pride and remember. Any momentous events can be put on the

promotional clothing such as championship games or even the signatures of

all of the team mates. This piece of custom team sportswear makes for an excellent coach’s gift.

2. promotional apparel using Screen Printing

Screen printing is another high quality option for t shirt or polo printing needs. Some people wonder if

screen printing is similar to iron-on images. Screen printing is actually a lot more durable and the

images can be a lot sharper than with iron-on. The screen printing machine shoots ink down into the

fabric, so it becomes part of the apparel. Iron-on

transfers sit on top of the garment, which is why it tends to fade and peel. A screen printers t shirt

has a much softer feel as well. Iron-on can feel sticky, hot and a lot like plastic, even after multiple

washings.

DOME DECALS

1. Liner: The liner holds your dome decal flat and protects the adhesive until it is ready for use. Most dome labels ship flat on a coated paper liner or clear poly liner. Also available: a specific liner, domes supplied on rolls or domes that have a built in curve to be applied to rounded surfaces.

2. What types of shapes can be domed? Any shape without square corners or without corner radiuses less than 0.10″ can be produced. Complex construction is available as well. There are many other shapes that are available with cutouts, embossed domes, shapes containing transparent windows and others.

3. Ink / Color: Dome Labels and Decals are digitally printed, four color stickers. They are usually built with spot colors and Pantone® colors from CMYK. When requesting pms matches, request a sample proof to verify color match.

4. Printing Process Description:There are many components that come together to form a crystal-clear, full color, three-dimensional (3D), flexible Dome Label. The components are bonded together to form a high quality decal that will last many years. They are listed below.

5. Transparent and opaque domed labels: Transparent inks can give your dome label an attention getting “pop” that your customers will notice. Transparent inks allow the sheen of the label material to show through the inks, making the inks look like they are shiny. This is most apparent with the silver chrome material.

6. Material: The most common Dome Tag and Decal material is the 2mil shiny silver chrome material, also 2mil brushed silver and 2mil white.

7. Dome: This top layer of the Dome Label consists of polyurethane that is poured, as a liquid, over the ink, onto the material. The Dome takes a period of time to cure to the material and harden into a crystal clear protective coating that gives the decal the high-end look that customer’s notice.

Learn Necessary Tips About How to Use Promotional Items

November 11th, 2008 promogif 2 comments

Are promotional gifts a waste of time or a valuable selling resource? Are they a headache to produce, or a must have for any company wanting to promote itself and its image? Well, by the promotional gifts that I have received recently, including gifts from companies who themselves specialise in these products, I’m certain that many companies like what happens with promotional gifts.

I was speaking to a customer who has recently started dropping a promotional mousemat into all outgoing orders. Just one mat per order, but that’s enough. Since starting that repeat business has increased and he’s also started mailing the mousemats out to those customers that haven’t ordered for a while, also with a decent success rate.

The biggest problem encountered with any promotional items is lack of time. All too often I hear that people have been struggling to get promotional items produced in time for their event. They have started looking around the market 10 days before the event, with no idea what they want or what the finished article will have printed on it.

Start earlier. Allow 3 weeks from agreeing with your supplier how the logo will be printed to receipt of the items at your office. Add on a week or two to get proofs made and the same again for shopping around and getting quotes, and you really need to be starting your planning 5 - 8 weeks before the event, more if you then have to ship the items elsewhere.

Many people hear talk of proofs, logo formats and the likes. If this starts to go over your head then tell the promotional gifts company you are dealing with that you need extra help. Don’t be afraid of them! If they don’t help or still can’t talk in your terms, go elsewhere.

A friendly company will have the ability to take a logo from your website and produce your promotional items from that. OK, if it’s an umbrella with a huge printing surface then a website logo is unlikely to print well, but with items such as pens, just a name and phone number is likely to be sufficient.

Make sure that you choose something suited to the recipients and something that they will keep and use again. That way, they will be more likely to remember you and use your services again in the future, The gifts don’t have to be expensive, just don’t always go for pens!

Whatever you decided to do, promotional gifts can drive further sales and custom. Make sure you allow time and don’t be afraid if the contact starts getting too technical - just tell them to come down to your level. You are the customer, after all!

The perfect gift for the GRAD!

Useful Advice - Basics About Car Sales Promotional Items

November 11th, 2008 promogif 1 comment

Success guidebook to managing the giveaway promotional items.

For car sales rooms, attaching a printed keyring can be an essential selling tool for later sales, that’s often overlooked. Some see the keyring as an essential item whilst others think of it as just something else to have to sort out, pay for and issue. But the keyring is a fantastic way to get your name known for very little expense.

But why would you want to spend an extra 30 pence on a keyring when the customer already knows you exist and have bought from you? Is there really an advantage to adding a small amount to the cost of the car during the sales process?

Car buying customers don’t usually buy a new car every few months, but by distributing printed keyrings on every set of keys you hand out you are helping your business in several ways. That customer is bound to be telling their friends about their new car when they see them and if they have enjoyed your service, and remember they did buy from you so that’s a good sign, then it’s likely they will recommend you to their friends. With a keyring in their pockets they can tell their friends your contact details and maybe they will also become your customers.

Frequently I’ve looked up the number of the garage I bought the car from by referring to the keyring. I can then book the car in for its regular service and repairs. If that keyring isn’t there, I’ve got to put some effort into finding that garage’s number. So why not go somewhere else, where I can find the number or am maybe passing and can arrange the service then?

Plus, the buyers see that they can carry your contact details around with them whilst they drive their car about and know that if they need you, your contact phone number is attached to the keyring. If there’s a problem with the car, they can easily contact you and maybe it’s then you that arranges the repairs, and the invoice that goes along with it.

The actual keyring doesn’t need to be overly fancy. As long as it is hard wearing as it will be dumped into bags and pockets and needs to last, then the style is very much up to you. The popular torch keyring, whilst not expensive, is an extra gimmick that many buyers will like and think of as a really useful tool to carry around whilst driving. But even the most humble 30 pence printed plastic keyring, with your name and contact phone number printed clearly onto the inset should work most of the time. These don’t look as cheap as they really are and can be used from anywhere from back street used car sales to high end prestige car showroom. Wherever you lie within that range, there’s certainly a printed keyring for you and a market for you to distribute it to.

Think about other solutions for promotional items - cheap promotional mugs, for example.
